Hey, my Remington 700 .223 barrel has just about had it. Who can you guys refer me too that makes good ones? I'm looking for another BBL.

pac-nor, krieger, shilen, hart, lilja, douglas are all good choices when it comes to barrels.i would first pick a gunsmith, and ask his recomendation. hard to go wrong with any of the top name barrel makers. just remember the guy who installs it is every bit as important as the barrel itself.

I'm rebuilding my 700 next year. Hope it's my last project. I'll be sending it to Krieger. They will r&r the barrel. I plan on a heavy target style.

I had Krieger rebarrel my Remington 700 with their #9 MTU barrel for a target rifle. I also had them blueprint and true the reciever while they were at it. Their work is superb.

Bartlien makes extremely good barrels as well.
