None of the commercial receivers are the real deal,don't make a rats $#@ difference what one you use,because there's only one genuine M14 receiver. Personally I like the font on the old 5 line Springfields,and the debate over cast vs forge is another point that to me makes no sense. When it comes to a semi auto rifle the cast receiver has proven its strength over the past 5 decades.

Terry why do some of the desert McMillan stocks have a little green color and others do not?

I guess that's a question only Kelly could of answered,each stock is unique,not one is the same.
