So I've been off the grid for a year. After trading this for that in my quest to own an M1a I got lured into a love affair with a Russian. So I sowed my wild oats on that Kalashnikov pattern rifle but it was just lacking precision and refinement. So I traded her in on a Swiss lady (Sig 556). Hell of a carbine, Swiss engineering done right, but, like a lot of Swiss women over time those good curves became too top heavy and unbalanced (and not in a good way). So yesterday I gave helga away for a Springfield M1a. This is what I've wanted all along. Precision and ruggedness in one package and that one thing that only a true American rifle can offer. Attitude, Warmth and Soul. Now comes the task of dressing this bell up in the fashion of the rifle I carried 10 years ago.
