I finally found one in decent shape.

Looks like its all Eddystone except the bolt and stock (both Remington). Its been parked but the finish is dark and even.

SN range is 8046XX with a barrel date of 6-18. The TE measures a hare over 1. The rifling is so sharp it unscrews the tip off my cleaning rod when I patch the barrel. 8O :D

I hope it makes a good shooter.

Congratulations!

Contratulations on your find. Those are getting difficult to find - most of them have been altered to one degree or another. It looks great and I am sure it will shoot fine.

JohnnyReb, that's one fine looking rifle I must say!!! My question to you is this, what calibre is that ... is it 30-06 like the Springfield 1903's? I was just gonna post this question as I heard recently about a 1917 and didn't know what it was or looked like ... any info/history would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and cheers my neighbours to the south,
