It was an unfinished Boyd's walnut stock via Fulton Armory.

Nice choice, I love a low profile scope/mount setup .
Scopes should always be "How low can you go", you've done that..

It was raw (unfinished) when I got it. I just did some light finish sanding and shot it with Tru-Oil. Then wet sanded and rubbed and rubbed with artificial 0000 steel wool. That part gave me a real pain in the neck.

LOL That's funny "My M1A done". If your like the rest of us it's a work in progress. Some other part will come a long that will make it a little better and you'll be putting it on.
I have to say it looks great now. Love they classic M14 look.
