On full "Rock and Roll" with his M14.... VietNam 1968.......About two weeks before the Tet Offensive, My Shotgun and assistant Machine gunner, SP/4 Jim Novak, begins to empty his clip at a practice range at Widows Village, near Long Bein.

Jim and I did numerous convoys carrying explosives to our 8 in. and 175 mm fireing Batterys. He is still one of my closest friends and now lives in Rice, Minnesota. ..... Jim your quite a guy !........SP/4 Twiggy

PS notice the sawed off stock on the rifle laying in the forground
