I checked three (03) Counties in MD listed on it that I have very close ties to. The feedback was that it was not accurate.

PA would be hard to confirm since each county has so many borough depts, township depts, and regional depts tied in....

Los Angeles County received 146 pages of goodies. While I did not go through each page, it looks like it received a whole array of military goods, including medical supplies, electronics, tools, etc. I did not see any guns. I assume they are in there.

Wow, my county bought some PALM IIIC for $350 (how obsolete is that technology!!) and a lot of 7.62mm rifles for $138 each. Sight unseen, I'll give them $150 for the 7.62.

thanks for posting

Military equipment

I'm in Delaware county PA and local police departments have been upgrading to military style gear.

I really don't have a problem with it as things on the street have gotten vicious. Especially in Chester, PA. Every day there's a shooting or other kind of killing there and they see LEO's as just another target.

One curious thing in that Ferguson, MO event.

They complained about local police having military gear on and then pulled them out and called in the National Guard that had military gear on.

Kinda odd, doncha think?

I work for a small police department. I placed an order last week for M-16's and M-14's as well as 1911's. I was told by my state's coordinator that they no longer "loan" out M-14's or 1911's. I was able to order 5 M-16A2 rifles. The cost was $103. The equipment is owned by the DoD and is subject to recall. The equipment can never be sold.

I was comparing three states I know fairly well, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, the people of which despite being in basically similar geography are all notoriously very different from each other. What each state has chosen from the big military horn o' plenty matches up closely with what I would consider the character of the state, altho they all of course took some rifles.
