Now you have opened a can of worms.

Get the 4895 and do a test and see which your rifle likes better.

Uncle Sam used IMR 4895 in the M2, M72 and M118.
4064 is being used in the Mk 316 Mod 0.
The M118LR has RL15.

They didnt have any 4064 or I would have got some. I like it better than 4895 but not by much. Seems like my best groups are usually fired with 4064 in semi or bolt gun.

Okay I reluctantly popped for a couple 4895 & a couple BL-C2 to help the sting of the hazmat charge. Plus two more checkmate mags to get free shipping.

Still at well over 30 a pound its hard to swallow these new component prices. Last I bought powder I think it was maybe 25 a pound.

I wished they had 4350 or 4064. 4350 works great in 6.5 Swede & 54R while 4064 seems to be the ticket in 308. Worse comes to worse I can trade it locally & add to my already existing stash of proven powders.

$40 a pound, delivered, is a bargain nowadays. It's pretty much the new standard. When my LGS has powder in stock, it's about $41 a pound out the door. Gun shows want $50, plus the price of admission.
