Anyone have any information or experience with the M-48 mausers offered by Michell's? I have been thinking of the collector's grade for $300. The premium grade is $500, but seems high for what it is.

My father bought mine for me as a gift for graduating high school. It looks new, never issued. Not a single drop of cosmoline. Fires 2MOA with surplus ammo. is definitely a shooter. could probably do better if i mounted a scope on it.

Overpriced and i think they refinish them and scrub a lot of the real markings. Id find an original war rifle, but thats just me.

Check out gunboards.com and google mitchells mausers for more 'opinions' on these guns. lol

And Dresden is right. The K31 is awesome. If i had the coin, id pick one up. The most accurate military bolt action battle rifle, next to the 6.5x55 swede. They are well built guns too, from the pieces ive handled.
