My first rifle bought in 98. Interarms Mark X Mauser mated to a Gibbs barrel in 270.Win. Added a timney Sport trigger in favor of the original 2 stage , Bell and Carlson freedom tan stock , and Simmons Aetec 2.8 X 10 X 44 scope. Love the action and for me a great all aroung bolt gun.

Very nice looking shootin stick. How's it shoot? Nice cammo in the back as well as on the rifle! Had an old enfield that I sporterized. I was very unhappy with the accuracy as I could't ever seem to get it to group better than a couple of inches at 100 yards. Good chance the surplus ammo I was using didn't help matters much.

Where did you get the sunshade for your scope? I hace the same scope on one of my rifles and have been looking for a sunshade for it.

Thanks OD.45. Shoots great. Before I changed out the original 2 stage trigger I shot some of my buddies handloads into a 1/2 in at 100 yds. I can't replicate that with the single stage. Average group now is around 1 to 1 1/2 inches. It's my hunting rifle so it's acceptable. The sunshade came with the scope when I bought it. Check out www.swfa.com. They have every kind of scope and accessory imaginable.

mauser mk-10

well i'm a mk-10 kind of guy i've owned and shot mauser rifles for close to 30 yrs. from looking at your very nice pictures of a nice rifle i've got some bad news for you. :(
(1) that ain't no mauser mk-10
(2) mk-10's came with an adjustable triger that was single stage not military 2 stage and had an integeral saftey
(3) on the bottom flat of the reciver behind the recoil lug should be a CZA in a circle
(4) the mauser works in yugoslavia never produced a commercial action with a stripper clip cut out on the left side
(5) the front reciver ring is stepped like a surplus large ring FN and some chezc actions found today
(6) the bolt has an incorrect handle it should be swept back like on a griffon and howe mauser
(7) the mauser mk-10 has a mag release button on the trigger bow
(8) no mark-10 was produced with a military style bolt shroud with saftey

i'm not trying to down you rifle it looks like a nice one but a yugoslav mauser mk-10 it's not. keep looking you'll find one. the mk-10 is based on the obendorf 1909 with a button in the trigger guard bow to drop the floor plate has a high gloss finish, fairly good colored wood. i happen to love the rifles myself you can order a mauser rifle made in the same plant in yugoslavia from wal-mart i think they are using the charles daily name again. the mk-10 in the past has been made for and sold under the charles daily name, mauser mk-10 name, parker hale name, and a bunch i never heard of i'm sure. but one thing i do know is that if you ever owen one all of the remington's, winchesters, wetherby, and every body else will take a back seat to your mauser mk-10. ;)
