Just purchased 3, 20 rd. Magazines covered in grease in sealed, clear, plastic for 60 bucks. These are blued and not parked. Spot welds coincide with USGI but not sure. Have looked up everything I could find but would like an informed opinion.

Member Different has a tutorial on mags. I believe it's archived here.

The only blued mags that I'm familiar with that were issue were the old Taiwanese Type 57 mags. However, they hit out shores nearly 25 years ago. There are, however, a number of mags masquerading as Type 57s. Check the tutorial first, then try them in your rifle.

Those look a lot like the mystery mags that were being peddaled as T57's a few years back. IIRC they were suspected to be from Vietnam (?). I have five of them that were sold to me as T57's. Mine work great. I use them as range mags and almost never have to load my USGI/Checkmate hoard. Try em out and let us know.

Those actually look like they might be the real deal T57's due to the finish, but the pics are not great. I have a few like yours and they have been 100% GTG.
