Doing research on M1A serial numbers specifically what # did the
7.62mm M1A rcvr stamp stop? I have a high # 053815 WITH the
stamping and a low# 064027 WITHOUT please check your rcvrs to
see if they fall within this range and what yours says.

Sorry fellows but I have very little knowledge of M1A commercial receivers. I am ignorant as to what the initial writer is referring to. It sounds to me he is saying the later receivers have no serial number???

Hey Bill...... He is referring to the Springfield commercial receiver (I believe). Some of which had 7.62mm stamped into the heel as well as the ser#. At some point they stopped stamping 7.62mm. ....I believe the best thing to do would be for ZEITSEF to call Springfield and inquire. At least that would be a good start on the trail.
