Does anyone out there have a recommendation for an experienced and reputable armorer or gunsmith who is familiar with the M1A? I was looking to have some trigger work done and shim the gas system. I live near Sacramento, and would prefer not having to ship the rifle or parts. Thanks in advance.

If you have basic mechanical abilities just do it yourself. No one cares more about your rifle than you do, and chances are, someone on here has already done it and posted pics of how.

Agreed, the gas shim work looks easy enough after doing a little homework. But as far as the trigger work, I'd like to leave that to a pro.
