I am new to this Forum. I have owned Springfield M1A rifles in the past. I was cleaning out a locker and found a stock for a M14. From the research I have done on line I think it is a T44 stock.
It is walnut and metal is intact. Selector cutout is present. Circle and P on pistol grip. Eagle cartouche on left side of rifle and in pencil inside stock the letter-number D 6324.
Butt plate M1 Garand type. front end cap, sling swivel. stock liner, rear swivel intact.
It is frankly beautiful piece of work in as new condition. I have no need for this so gun broker comes to mind.
Please refrain from using the Firing Line as a substitute for each individuals responsibility. Any threads asking for a value will be deleted with this Sticky.
Also if you should decide to answer one of those questions, please refrain from giving a value. Without seeing the item in your own hands and just inspected it, you can be doing an injustice to either the buyer or seller by stating a value.
You can research the Sold Classified Listings (SPF)section below here which has over 7,400 listings, or other auction sites across the internet to come up with a general price for an item(s).
I have noted online that they will go for serious money. I can get some photos but this thing needs nothing to put on and admire... Thanks for any help.
