Here are some pics of my M14 RAS rail adapter system,done with URL's to save space

This first one shows the RAS,it replaces the upper handguard,there is a replacment hand guard clip that is threaded,as well as a spacer

#2 shows the attachment point that goes into the receiver,where you would attach a scope mount,there are some shims included

#3 shows the stripper clip slot ,notice it now has a sort picintinnay rail for the rear ring of your scope

Overall the fit is tight and VERY solid

I’d really like to hear more of your thoughts on what the weapon is like with the RAS. I really think it looks cool but is it something that can really be used by just an qualified armchair warrior such as myself?

As matter of fact,,
If you like Eotechs , Aimpoints ,or any "scout" l.e.r. scope it's o.k.
BUT,if you also like me use a M14/M1a as a defence/main rifle and want to add the security of seeing at night what you're shooting at by illuminating,use of high output light.Then Yes it is a very good alternative to the SOPMOD ,mucho cheeper too.
The single most important attachment I want would be an Insight M6
illuminator/laser a neded night time ,poor eyesight ,accessory.
My future plan for the rifle is a Hawk's special M14A4

Down side is cost,around, 450.

I do like it though,,it's pretty light,and versitile,but also not for a 22"er
Best used on a "scout"

Sage's EBR stock is $500 from Fulton Armory.

The Sage stock however doesn't come with any side rails which you must purchase seperatly for $50 each and doesn't come with the stripper clip guide scope mount which is another $50. Granted you get,

"M16 styled pistol grip
Instant bedding!
Upper Swan/Weaver (Picatinny) rail
Top rear sling swivel
Collapsible buttstock
SAdjustable buttplate"

But if you don't want or need that then the KAC M14 RIS is a good deal or at least a cheaper one. They can be had for $425 w/ rear scope piece if you look.
