Has anyone installed this?

How do you like it?

What's involved in putting it on , ie. stock relief, tapping?

I was worried that the rear sight pin ears would interfere with the peep working clearly.

Thanks in advance,

if it mounts to the recevier cover i would worry about repeatability. i had a scope mount that mounted there that would not repeat zero. it's gone now.

receiver sight.........

No, this one is drilled and tapped into the receiver with two 6-48 screws.

There is clearance for the cover although I may "relieve" mine some more to protect the sight from any lateral "impact".

For disassembly of the rifle , the sight unlocks from the base for quick removal.

Regarding sight picture, I similated the mounting while sighting and it appears that it is slightly higher than the std rear sight's position. The front sight would need to be raised some, but there is a clear focus of the front post...kewl....:^).

I look forward to seeing what a 28" sight radius will do!

My sight design is finished and tooling prepared as I write this. I too was looking for a better sight, something that mounts to the back of the receiver, but something that does not require drilling and tapping. It increases the sighting radius by 10" and provides a great sight picture. If you would like I can send a pdf of the specifications on the sight. Just
email me at [email protected].
