I have purchased a LRB M25 reciever and I want to put a Krieger DMR Barrel On there is there anyone with thoughts on this package? Also i see the barrel only comes in SS i would prefer a dark barrel anyone have any ideas o what finish will work oon SS? Thanks!

Good choice! Don't hold your breath waiting for the M25 receiver though. It may be a couple more months or more before they show up. Krieger has a few remaining DMR barrels in stock ready for delivery. They had 50 last week. I just finished building a M21 type rifle for one of my customers on a standard LRB and DMR barrel. It came out great!

Good idea! I have stainless krieger barrels and won't buy anything else. They're worth the wait. You can always paint em.

What a great idea BigSarge. I'm thinking about the same myself--anyone know some good options for making the barrel dark? Professionally speaking, that is!

Duracoat, Bearcoat, Gunkote, and TeflonMoly will all cover stainless steel and can be put on by a professional or by you, but I recommend that you have a professional do it, as all the coatings are oven cured and are much better done with an airbrush and the skill in using one with knowledge of the materials being used. That should be a sweet rifle when it's done, enjoy it and may it serve you well. Lionseye

Maybe you guys can look into the same type of coating they put on the gas cylinders, since they are SS? I believe it's baked on.
