Please enjoy for any builds or information. this was one of maybe 15-20 M14's we had on hand as part of the Dept of the Army Loan program, to outfit them as DMR/Tower security/More than a 5.56 rifle to be used when needed.

this one I kept in my shop for a week, and got the chance to take pictures of whatever I wanted to. sorry the quality isnt the best, this is an 8mp camera from 2008.

Brings a tear to my eyes!! Thanks for posting!!! Gotta ask, when you had the selector lock button removed, how were you able to re-assemble it without installing the fun switch??? : 0
Went thru an Anniston depot re-build.

Thanks for posting all those nice detailed pics, it is much appreciated.

(FWIW, I have an early SA NM M14 stock with a 531k serial number written in the stock channel, so the rifle in this thread is only 2k serial #s after mine, and with its 8-62 barrel, it strongly suggests that my old stock came off a very early NM rifle from 1962).

Very cool, I bet that was an awesome experience to get to spend some unrushed time with a real M14. Thank you for the pics.
+1 to KurtC, his observations are spot on.
What a great rifle!

That was a great job and service you did for us Brother Have Blue 83.

I was thinking, "There she is. A REAL M-14."

Thanks again,

Jarhead
