I used one for a while on a 22" Standard. They are pretty tough and hold up well, but they are heavier than a Walnut Stock. The look of a Laminated Stock with a matching Hand Guard is beautiful. BTW mine had a conventional metal liner.
I've had the Fajen laminated that came on my M1A SportMaster since 1991 have had no complaints whatsoever, They're extremely stable, humidity doesn't effect it as much as solid wood. I like the looks & IMO they'll hold bedding as well as anything else . I've never had a mcmillan fiberglass so no comparison there.
