What is this Lake City ammo that has appeared recently called XM80 ball?
"To be used for training purposes only." It it the same as M80 ball?

Should it be used, or is it like "seconds" or something?

"AMMOMAN" has it for $139.00 shipped for 500 rds. But I bought 500 from Kiesler's for $112.00 shipped and it comes in a ammo can. It looks like "Sportsman's Guide is selling it for the same price as AMMOMAN but they are calling it "Federal" as the maker.

Anyway, I thought I would try 500 rds. but now I'm wondering about the XM designation.

Anyone know?

I believe that it is the same thing as the XM in XM 193. I think that this is how federal marks it's ammo for sale to the public. Should be the same thing. I got some awhile back from the CMP and it shot just fine. It was listed as M-80 ball there though.
