Just ordered a Benelli supernova tactical with the comfortech stock & looked around for some 00 buck 9 pellet ammo. There are soooooooooooo many choices. Any suggestions? I'm primarily sticking with 2.75" so it doesn't break the wifey's shoulder, but suggestions for 3" & 3.5" are also welcome. ONTOS

My buddy and I both have the 18" with pistol grip stocks. If you get slugs, try the brenneke knock out. He was getting excellent accuracy out of his with it.

Is yours the one with ghost ring sights?

I've been pleasantly suprised with the Rio 00 buck and the Rio Star slugs. Suprisingly good pattern with the buckshot and the slugs shoot accurately out of my 18.5" 870 Express. And at under $3 per box of 5, it's a pretty fair price.

I used to have the SN Tactical w/ Comfortech and Ghost Rings. Great gun and has noticeably less recoil than my buddies 500's and 870's running the same ammo. Any 00 Buck marked low recoil should be comfortable for your wife.

I eventually sold mines after purchasing a M2. The poor gun just sat in the safe untouched. I still have a +3 Nordic extension tube with clamp I been meaning to sell if any of you Nova/SN owners are interested.

I wa sthinking of getting a 20 gauge for the wife, but I may try a box of the lite load buckshot first. If noting else, I will load some 1oz. loads with #4 buck and red dot to see what can do for her..... Just getting her broken in on the .45, haven't even got her to the AR yet, so the 12ga is not a rush thing for me..... The 185gr Winchester Whitebox works wonders for females just trying out a .45. The lower recoil from this load has been perfect for the wife unit and my sister.... It's just stinkin' expensive!!!!! Hopefully I can duplicate that load once I find some Unique.

Depends on what you want to do with it.

A lot of people don't recommend "low recoil" buck for defense. Use the standard 2 3/4" stuff, and buy a few types and pattern them until you find the best combo for your gun.

3" maybe but probably unnecessary... 3.5" is only for masochists IMO.

Try all of the below.

However this is an interesting option for a tactical shotgun.
