Has anyone on here tried to replace a handguard on their JR Carbine? I would like to find a slimmer and longer one than the factory, somewhere in the 14-15" range. I'm asking because I want to make sure that I get one that works with the JR barrel nut assembly. Thanks.

I REPLACED THE HANDGUARD OF MY JR CARBINE with a YHM Free Floater..

It required the replacement of the barrel nut, which could be an issuey as the JR nut is proprietary with QR slots for a wrench?? ... So you can change barrels/calibers quickly.

Most people up here in Canuckistan would probably just buy a complete 18.5" barreled TOP end in whatever caliber they wanted.

I REALLY liked my JR in 9MM, once I tweaked the mag release to prevent the mags from dropping out mis way through a string. Mine would shoot 2" - 4" groups at 100 yds, depending on which 9mm ammo I used.
Pretty darned good for a pistol caliber carbine.
