THIS ITEM IS SOLD AND GONE!!! Will endeavor to remove this posting/thread.

Mostly in WW2 trim. Came from a collector's estate, a CMP guy. Had an NPM magazine, but I suspect a passerby at a gun show walked off with it.

I am not a "carbine guy". I put two rounds through this to assure that it functioned. I'm an M1 Garand guy (over 50 years!) and financial matters dictate I dispose of what I can.

Best way to view these shots on flickr.com is to sign in with a Yahoo i.d. and then browse around and use the internal features, including the capability to view at full magnification.

Typical wartime NPM M1 Carbine 017 (This one was disposed of in 2012--sorry if I confused it with the one I am trying to offload in 2017!!)

$1200.00 + $30 to ship.

Need to get on with my life.

I am FFL, if it matters.

Seems I mixed up some shots. The one WITH the green/olive drab sling is the one I'm getting rid of.

This one belonged to a collector, and it was his "favorite", I guess as a shooter. Looked through the stuff, could find no paperwork, but he got most of his carbines from the D.C.M., decades ago.

Got a lot of questions about the piece, virtually all of which are already answered in the photos and captions.

Not sure about the rear sight. NPM, of course, did not make barrels, so that COULD NOT BE NPM. NOR SHOULD IT BE.

That's why I gave all the photo references, take a look. I'm not sure about many of the trigger parts, and I suspect the stock MIGHT be someone else's.

The serial # is 1495576.

The UNDERWOOD BARREL is correct.

The magazine is NOT NPM. Thought I'd said that.

The one WITH the sling is this one. Apparently I got mixed in with some shots of another NPM in my files (I've owned hundreds of Carbines....). The sling on this one, by the way, is just a sling, and I don't even remember what the oiler is. The sling is NOT WW2, probably not even G.I. or military, I think it's just a hunk of strap or a repro. It's just a carrying sling, period.

I don't think there are any civilian parts on it, or none that I could identify.

I am not a "carbine guy". I checked this out once, photographed it, and haven't touched it since test firing.

Underwood barrel is original:

If someone can get this done and in my hands by tax day, April 18th, 2017, I will knock EXACTLY $100.00 off the price--that would make it $1130 total.
