NM /2A marked on the right side and picture of bottom of sight base. I was wondering if this was USGI? Thank you James

It looks like You have a GI NM Sight Base, You understand however that it must be used with a NM Windage Knob, do not try to screw in a Standard Windage Knob if You do You'll Ruin it!
My only concern is that the ones on my Rifles are not marked on the Bottom, only on the Right Ear!

the base is a fake! period!
the NM ordnance drawings called out for marking the right side ear of the base with NM/2A. not on the bottom.
its a chinese fake sold by springfield a few years back. i have seen a few of these hawked as usgi when they aint. jeff

It is also marked on the right side with NM/2A except that the text is curved to fit the top of the right sight ear. Jim
