The packaging is U.S. GI. If still originally sealed the tool inside is GI.

I would be tempted to keep it as a collectable if you are financially flush enough to buy another - and we are all sure it is in fact GI. (More and more stuff is being repro'd, and the fakers are getting better at packaging.) New in wrap GI items are always going to command a premium.

Someone was selling an extra heavy duty modern (EDM cut?) flash supressor wrench on ebay that was fairly reasonable in price some time ago, and it is a lot more substantial than the GI wrench - no flex in it at all. I bought one, and it fits and works well, is very rigid and much thicker than the stamped GI wrench. A better built mousetrap, I think. CC
