Help! I'm not too lazy to look it up, or too dumb to figure it out. Just asking for input from my friends. IMR 4895 was my 'go to' powder for years, but my M1A didn't like it, so when I ran out right at the end of the current 'shortage' I made a deal on IMR 4064. So far so good, but I'm having to rethink. Is there a 'conversion' factor for switching? I can't find data for some of my pet cartridges. Thanks, dave

So are you asking how the powder charge will change using IMR 4064 instead of 4895?

If that's what you want then I'd say that you can expect about 1 grain less with 4064 to match the accuracy perfomance of 4895 but the pressures and velocities will be just a little less.

i have wondered the same Dave. i have got a load with TAC that's sub MOA but i am ran out of it now and have yet to use another powder that gets me the same groups as TAC did. i suppose some rifle's will group best with a certain type of powder. it would be nice if we could compile a list of loads and their equivalent using different components. the TAC load was 42.5gr, LC, CCI200, Nolser 155gr CC, 2.8. I have the same brass, bullets, and primers but i4895, i4064, i3031, and i8208xbr.

I've got Nosler 168cc with Win brass (56.1 H2O), FED210M, and i3031, i4064 & H4895 that all shoot under 1 MOA with my Rem 700 w/24" barrel.

Nosler 168CC
COAL: 2.78
I4064: 41.6 grains
Velocity: 2508

Nosler 168CC
COAL: 2.80
I3031: 39.1 grains
Velocity: 2497

Nosler 168CC
COAL: 2.80
H4895: 40.0 grains
Velocity: 2471
