OK..this is gonna be a dumb question but here goes anyway. When I got this M1A it had a Springfield flash hider on it. Now I am told that this particular type of unit isnt legal in the PRK. So, two questions:

1. What is the difference between the one I have and the Kalifornia approved one? Where can I get one?

2. Muzzle guides, where do I find one that will fit the Kalifornia model?

A year ago I started highpower with a Garand and have yet to see a flash hider on an M1..why do m14's only come with them instead of as an option?

Please note I am but a mere fengy and under the UCMJ am allowed to ask dumb questions.

Tks Hawk..emailed a request for info this morning..

Saw an auction on gunbroker.com for a 'paratrooper m-14' that describes the receiver as being marked "M1A but its a real M14". What gives there? BTW, it shows $5000 as not meeting the reserve..
