I have

LC brass
CCI #37 primers
IMR 4895 powder

I use 168 SMK
and
145 to 155 gr bullets. (Sierra Palma's, Generic FMJ's, etc.)

Can anyone suggest loads for each bullet.

I don't have a Crony and I don't have easy access to a long range club.

It's a hike for me.

So, I thought that someone with experience could suggest loads that will give me decent performances.

Thanks

41.5 for 168 and 43.5 for 155 is what mine likes. that is worked up from 2gr less though, you should start at 40gr for 168 and 42gr for the 155's.

plus i have no idea what #37 primers are. i have been using cci200.

CCI #37 primers are the hardened primers that are recommended to avoid slamfires. They are Mil-Spec. They are interchangeable with the CCI 200.

Are you sure they are not #34's?

"Service Load" for IMR4895 is 40.5 gr. This is from the out of print NRA publication "Semi-Auto Rifles, Data and Comment"..

I would go higher for DI Stoner designs, but I am going to baby the op rod on my new M1A at least until it is well broken in. ;-)

i kind of guessed #34's but i was not sure, they are close to a magnum primer if not a magnum primer, so 39.5 for a start for 168, and 41.5 for 155's.

around 41 or 41.5 is a good medium load for most rifles with the 168gr, but you need to work up just in case.

if you want to try and get lucky, load 41.5gr with 168's and 43gr with 155's. those loads should be around upper medium velocity
