I'm a national guard officer and was wondering how many other forum members are also current members of the armed forces and in what capacity?
I'm an armor battalion medical officer, 19 years service

Technical Sargeant, (I put on MSgt in July) United States Air Force. Active Duty. 14+ years in service. 355th Wing Davis Monthan AFB AZ. NCOIC, Weight and Balance/Functional Check Flight Program. I think I was supposed to be a Marine sniper though. If I didn't have kids i would leave and join the Marines in a heartbeat. Scout/Sniper or Bust. Oh well, you play the cards you are dealt.

SSG, USAR, currently with the JAG Corps in Florida. Not a bad assignment. Too old for that young kid stuff. Did that back in '85-'89 with the 1-15th INF 3ID in Germany as a medic.

Active duty Marine Corps, 0811 artilery. Lat move to 4066 computer tech in 95. Went to some fun places to play with the natives. 98 I went to Air National Guard Which was a real trip (good people that got the job done). EOS was Sept 11 2001. Kept waiting for the recall, but it never came. One part is glad I am out the other part of me feels like I am slacking on the job and not doing my duty.
