Hole in Trigger Guard

2634 Views 13 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  DorkFace
This question comes up on a fairly regular basis. It applies to the holes in the trigger guards of both the M14 and M1 Rifles. Many have provided the answer in the past. This is taken from a technical publication dealing with the T20E2, one of the automatic modifications to the Garand during late WWII. There were several different T series rifles, many whose components were eventually used in the manufacture of the M14. Enjoy.
