New guy from Minnesota and recent purchaser of m1a Springfield Armory/ Scout. Have yet to fire it. Will observe here for a while and try to pick up tips. Too cold anyway!

Welcome to the forum from NorCal. I won't mention it is 72 and sunny outside. With all that snow you will have time to wander through the years of info amassed here. Grab a cup and have a good time.

re: welcome

thanks for the replies. Last night I took it somewhat apart ie; gas piston trigger housing, stock, etc. All went well except for replacing the trigger housing in the stock. It seemed way to tight when you close the trigger guard. Well, after fooling with it, trying not to apply too much force my wife comes home from work and says "what ya doin?" I explained and went to get coffee. Came back and it was together. Seems as though it has to be fairly tight. Live and learn.
