If this is true, and Biden does his Democratic Playbook thing and harps on banning what people people in the middle want to have a right to own, and gets slammed in the election, that would not shock me at all.

Yes Sir that would be ideal, but I think a lot of people that are casual gun owners that are working hard but not paying attention or don't care about politics hear that aZZhole say he's "for" the 2nd Amendment and believe it, and that's it in their mind and vote Demoncrat "because their Dad did" or the like. Hopefully some will wake up, and hopefully we can wake some up.

Somebody, who has a voice that mainstream media can hear, needs to paint that picture in terms of what it really means.

A lot of people bought their first gun due to the current unrest. This is one of the biggest opportunities we have ever had. We should all be on the lookout for new people at the range. Help them instead of haranguing them when their trigger discipline isn't perfect, or whatever mistake they make. Bring them into the community and let them see the fun side of shooting. We should do our best to make sure that gun ownership is a fun and rewarding experience, and that they make friends with other gun owners. The Democrats have done tremendous damage to their gun control agenda by winking and nodding at the riots, but it isn't permanent. A lot of new gun owners will go back to supporting it or to being indifferent to it after things calm down. We need to work to get them firmly in our camp. There has never been a better time to take a new shooter under your wing.

I really hope that's true.

IF Joe Blow was to get elected and IF he did pick Kamala as his VP, the s*** will really hit the fan. It will be an all-out assault on the 2nd Amendment and responsible gun owners.

Joe + Kamala + Beto = major s*** show.

Disarming responsible gun owners is the equivalent of de-funding police to reduce crime. It only makes sense to Liberals and has nothing to do with reality.

EDIT: Here we go -

We can dream, but I think the majority doesn't care about rights and will support any usurpation(s) that the LSM harps on long and and hard enough. Harping is their business. So much has become mala prohibita that it's common place and not much of a concern. IMO, this is probably pretty common of new gun owners. The fact that they might not be able to get one (above board) in the future is motivation to get one now. Once they got theirs, the future legality is of relatively little concern. The majority just want the nanny state to keep them safe from all threats, real and concocted.

I think the :mainstream" conventional wisdom will be convincingly overturned in November.

The disruptions in the cities have brought more first time minority firearms purchases. These new legal gun owners are looking to secure their safety in the absence of law enforcement where they live. They recognize that the unrest is largely due to the actions of super liberal or socialist politicians and far left activists. While a person may have liberal views on social issues, legal gun ownership now brings them into a position of shared common interest with long time gun rights folks.

If Biden runs with Robert Francis O'Rourke loudly promoting a ban on privately owned firearms, then I think some traditionally Democrat voters will flip on this one issue.

I think his handlers may tell him to keep that on the down-low.

I edited my post above to include the latest development...

I have doubts that JB will serve the whole four years. If elected, at the swearing-in he will be older then Reagan was when he left office after 8 years.

It is my suspicion that JB will resign for health reasons ASAP, leaving the just announced VO choice, K. Harris as the de facto president.

Then really look out.
