Happy Birthday US Air Force.
First member of the Air Force was my brother in law’s wife’s grandfather General Benjamin Foulois. Air Forces still does a fly over every Memorial Day. My brother in law is buried very close to the General. He was an Army vet of Vietnam and died of Covid a year ago March. Hand Salute to the both of them.

A person in my family started in around 82' as 2W2X1 Nuclear Weapons Specialist and could tell stories that would catch your hair on fire. Beginning with SAC and ending in a place that I can not say, nor "I Do Not Recall".

1 quick story. Before the Force would let him join he had to go though a background investigation. Serious business these Dudes were in. They questioned the family, neighbors, schools and Police Departments, State, county, local courts, the whole nine yards. Do you know where that saying comes from?

Anyway he, we had a juvi court record that the Feds could not open and the state would not open either. But they had to know or no enlistment and my uncle was pizzed, career Force then U.S. State Department. So we tell the Feds that it was over a neighborhood tomato fight when we were young teenagers. And they would not believe us so we took them to the house of the breech of ethical tomato fighting. They knocked on the door and asked the father what had happened. He told them that we opened the door and threw tomatoes in the house at their son :ROFLMAO: and the wife called the law.

That's it no big conspiracy, yet without the file being opened to verify no enlistment.

After a month or so of papers being sent by MO.State AG the AF the Feds the file would not be opened, period. So another few weeks go by and confirmation comes via some guy, hands Mom a letter for "Tomato" to report to Texas.

Never found out what happened to change things but no-one will say that Uncle had anything to do with it. ;) At basic he said it started Out Of The Blue, everyone was calling him Tomato. Until the day of the great tarmac fire when being punished he had to pull weeds from the cracks. And fuel was involved.

From that day on to present, TomatoPaste.:ROFLMAO::LOL:
