I was thinking exactly that!Remember: They (Republicans and Demoncrats) did not read ObamaCare legislation before voting on it.
You can't trust any of them: "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor."
As much as I often type too much, I often don't type the relevant details running through my head. They get lost too fast, and I have bouts of laziness.
In my case, it was "If you like your insurance, you can keep it." I liked my insurance, and I could not. I could buy a kind of "equivalent insurance" for about the same money, that was about not quite as good, and over the period of 8 years, became three times as expensive (for two adults as opposed to two adults and four children) to the point that I couldn't afford it.
So, sorry to be unclear, I don't trust any politicians to do their job, and I wouldn't say that Democrats (or for that matter Republicans) **are not** pulling the pork barrel maneuver for the sake of pulling a 'Look what we did to protect you' for base support.
Though, if they're actually sneaking, you'd think any cognizant Republican would seize on it, call them out on it, and show them as the underhanded actors that they are. At least, they should. However, it's also not unusual for seemingly unrelated legislation to get mixed into a bill as a normal process, as a normal wheel and deal process...
Which is even more reason to be suspect of all parties...
