It looks awful beat to hell to me.

The finish is thin, but it looks serviceable. Blast too old grease out with some brake cleaner and regrease the pivot points back up and your good too go.

Cool! Vallejo 658 gold 87-92. I was originally assigned to your crew but you were on patrol when I got to group 6 so I went to Valley-Joe.
On topic question, is there any rehab for jacked up splines or are they fubar?

On the Splines you will have to ask the smarter guys; I'm still learning.


My son is now stationed on Charleston on what was SSBN 635, now MTS 635, (Moored Training Ship). At least we have something in common. I used to complain about 25 year old crap. Now he complains about 50 year old crap. I believe it will only stay around for another 2 years or so and then be replaced with an old 688.
