Love the 930. I've a Home Defense & a SPX model.

If you have issue with low power loads (bird shot)remove the stock and clean/lube the recoil spring & tube. Bit of a project but worth the effort IMHO.

Post some pics!

One of my son in laws has the Mossberg 930 , he likes his a lot , it's well built & it's made in the USA , for an auto it's a dang good buy, a lotta gun for the $$ nowadays.
The Stevens 320 is built in the PRC and looks suspiciously like Winchester's discontinued model 1300. I've never shot the Stevens so I have nothing to add on it.

Let us know how you like them. I almost got a 930spx and may eventually. An 11-87p caught my eye so it went home with me instead. The 930 was a decent amount lighter though. The Stevens is an Ithaca copy isn't it? If it's made of decent steel, it will out last your grand kids.

Snyper762,

My $0.02

As owner of two (a Home Defense & a SPX), I would say they are G2G. I have a short list of modes that I've made over the years to improve on them. Mine have never had issues since completing below:

1. Good cleaning right out of the box and lube (FrogLube paste). Especially the buffer tube and spring assembly. Also the trigger group.
2. Replace the mag follower with the longer plastic one from MidwayUSA ($5): https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2...ower-mossberg-500-600-12-gauge-polymer-orange

I've done some other things to personalize mine but the above where done for reliability/performance. I run cheap bird shot, buck and slug in them without issue in Florida heat & humidity and light rain.
