I don’t know if it is possible with an M1A M-14 to have something engraved due to the hardness of the steel, but I have heard of people who remark other firearms and I do know you can have just about anything you would like marked on your own weapon. I have a Remington 870 SBS that has “CPS” right under the ejection port, it cost me $10.00 a letter but I show it to folks and they usually say something like “wow I didn’t know Child Protective Services used guns like this”.
