I've been very fortunate to be able to gather these Bula Defense parts over the last few months. Some of these are for a future build for me, some others are for replacement parts on my agency's US GI M14s, and the others are for spares.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Jeff @ Bula Defense for his help in acquiring these parts. His dedication to this craft is very impressive, as are the parts themselves.

I'm particularly impressed with the gas system and firing mechanism parts. Their fit and finish is exceptional, and in my opinion are every single bit as good as any US GI part out there. The two firing mechanism housings that I have are cast, but you'd never know it based on the way all of the other firing mechanism parts fit into them. Hopefully I can grab a couple forged housings down the road, but I believe they are extremely expensive to manufacture.

I also have a few barrels, which are not pictured. Two are 19.25-inch barrels, one of which is in the white. They look to be real nice barrels for sure, and I'll be using one of them on my future patrol rifle (hint, hint).

Like I've said a few times now, both here and on other forums, it's really great to be in the M14 game right now. We have choices that we didn't have even just a year or two ago.

Okay, so many of us missed the US GI "hay day" where parts from the "big four" manufacturers were cheap(er) and plentiful, but I have to say......as an M14 armorer that works on real US GI M14s often, these Bula Defense parts sure fit the bill all day, every day. Best of all, they are 100% made here in the USA, and it's important to me that I support a US-based manufacturing company that uses raw materials sourced here and not overseas.

I'm looking forward to my next order.

Happy Holidays to all.

Cheers!!

Jon Wolfe is an official distributor. I can also obtain receivers and parts for anyone who wants them.

If you need / want any more photos of parts in their original bags w/ numbers etc... just let me know. I'd be happy to help you. I like the idea of a Sadlak mag latch. They are nice for sure. Several of our officers have requested them so perhaps I'll install those on the replacement housings.

Good idea...

I have the parts for Bula based trigger groups... I'll be using the Sadlak magazine release and the ShootingSight trigger and hammer set. The only thing not available yet from Bula for my builds would be the safety spring, but they should be available shortly along with triggers (for those that want an all Bula trigger group). Also, the Bula hammers are very nice!

Did the same with a few groups. I had to cheat on the safety cause they were not available yet. Art's triggers are super, just be careful of your thumb when you compress the hammer spring.
