Gas cylinder- where can I get one?

Other than on ebay, I mean.

I am in the process of acquiring parts for a new M14 build- I need a lot of stuff, but I am currently looking for a gas cylinder asssembly. Anyone know where I can get one and how much they usually run?

Watch the for sale forum here and at BR. There's also a fair number of parts available on ebay but fraud is rampant where collectability is concerned. They run anywhere from $80.00 to $120 depending on how they're assembled and if they come with a piston and a plug. Best deal I got was a complete welded cylinder with piston and plug for $105 shipped.

Fulton Armory was selling welded as well as screwed gas cylinders awhile back. Check their web site for more info.
You can try www.armscorpusa.com. I have called and e-mailed them but only get a recorded message and no reply yet to the e-mail. They usually have tables with parts and receivers at gunshows in Maryland and Virginia.
Here's a list of some places you can try. Although not all of them will carry what you're looking for.

Guns, Parts, Stocks, and Scopes

Always at YOUR service. :D
You can try a fellow named Mark Cefaly. He has a good amount of NIW USGI parts. I bought a pair of gas cylinders from him last year, they were still in the original can.

Wish I still had his e-mail address, I'd give it to you if I did. Maybe someone else will have it.
You might also try giving Tony at Orion 7 a try. He's reasonably priced and quick to ship. Tell him Hawk sent ya. He's also run a special just for members here on the board on complete bolts.

Here is the address for Mark Cefaly. Just send an email asking for the price of the part you need. I ordered parts from him and they were still new in the wrap.

Yes. I put it on my DMR build and its rock solid. :D
Hopefully it was a good trade for both of us.
The NM gas cyl was not my cup of tea. My rifle runs like a champ. I received what I exactly wanted. So the trade was excellent plus I have the can, pencil holder.
I've got a couple new USGI gas cylinders and one used great condition refinished one if you are still looking.
:? Dan Now how did I know You had a Couple of them
