Nuts - can't get it to attach, and I can't find it anywhere else.

Nevermind - sorry.

Yeah, I joined a good while back - mostly to learn more about my then new M1A - so I tended not to post a lot, but I'll likely start being a little more active in the future.

The image was something attached to a post in another forum that was applicable to the Richard Overton thread elsewhere on M14forum.com, but a mod moved it here. The link I have is:

Ok - here goes...

This wasn't originally intended to be a standalone thread, hence the low-info title. I was just replying to a thread elsewhere on the forum about 111 year old WWII vet Richard Overton, by linking a picture of Overton holding a Thompson submachine gun that I had seen on a different forum. Turns out that one has to be a member of that forum (arizonashooting .com) in order to see the linked image, so a mod plucked it out of that thread and dropped it in here as it's own thread- although in retrospect, it would've resulted in less confusion all around if he had just deleted it. BGRIN1

Sorry again everybody - wasn't my intent.

No need to be sorry! We were all just playing with you. I wanted to get the image and send it to you.

Very cool!

My friends Father worked on the first Lunar Lander for Grumman.
He is the one with the thick black framed glasses in the photos.
He also worked on the F14 Tomcat.

I am sorry this does not get AZ his photo though!
