i just bought a stock ferrule from fulton. <not n m > i going to install on my boyds new stock i just got . do these have to be fitted to the stock ? trim the stock so it goes on. is this normal ?

It wouldn't surprise me if you needed to work the stock to fit the ferrule (you may have to work other parts of the stock as well).
