Different is correct. Under the California ban you're allowed one evil feature and that's the detachable magazine. Flash hiders, pistol grips and such will remain illegal.

The good news is that an M1A looks good with a Smith Brake.

and makes it harder to get a M14/M1A rifle in California at that :roll: if it wasn't for that stupid law, I would already have my M1A right now :x . And in answer to the authors question, I live in California. We still cannot get a Flash Suppressor dude, it's under the California (not Federal) "assault weapons" ban, only way for us to take that out, is to take down the entire ban, only way we would be able to do that is to elect an entire pro gun California State Assembly, and like I said on another post, it will take the 2nd coming of Christ for that to happen:p unfortunantly...if you need more info on the California so called "assault weapons" ban go to this link... http://caag.state.ca.us/firearms/dwcl/12275.htm
