I havent posted a picture yet of my rifle because I got a promag scope mount for nothing and proceeded to trash my scope . I got my scope back from bushnell and thanks to them for turning it around in a little under 3 weeks , I also recieved a casm mount last week . so today I took it out to get on paper and was very happy with how it shot . I was using aguilla 147 grain ball and shot 10 shots into a 1.75 inch group at 50 yds kneeling and using a cadwell dead shot field pod . lol not the best shooting position I just wanted to get on paper . I shot the rifle with irons and some 168 grain amax I had loaded for my bolt guns and it shot very well so I am excited to get to the range where I can use a concrete bench and some bags to see what it can really do . by the way my scope is a bushnell 10x40 elite .
Ok Im a tard the rifle is a springfield loaded and here is a pic of the old girl.

Lookin' good!
Now you're on paper you can find what round she likes or if you reload, dial in a round and see how she does and if needed some cheap accuracy mods. I'm glad you got it back together. Nice pic too, nice rifle and that area is beautiful.

thank you very much and yeah thats part of my 40 acres of up the hill down the hill property. me and the wife love it out here . I have about 300 yds I can shoot down the power line right of way I just need to build me a bench . its been a bit to muddy to lay on the ground and shoot prone .

That's a great looking rifle with some really good results! I love that color, it's perfect for our state. What part of Missouri do you live in?
I live in bollinger county . drive east from marquand over the hill and through crooked creek if the water is down and Im about 3 miles east of the creek or go 28 miles due west of cape girardeau .

update

I finally got a chance to go to the public range and use a concrete bench to try out my rifle . I am as happy as a tornado in a trailer park . I put some aguilla 150 grain down range just to check and see if I was still on paper , I then broke out my favorite load for my bolt guns 168 grain amax setting over 44 grains of varget with a col of 2.80 . my groups started shrinking drasticly and I ended up with an average of 1.5 moa . some groups were sub moa barely and some were obviously over, so now I have a rifle that shows potential to shoot I have some decisions to make , the first Is optics I am using a bushnell elite 10x40 and it does ok but to be honest when I got out my savage fcp-sr with a trijicon 2.5x10x40 I thought I was going to need sun glasses so maybe a new optic for the m1a is in order . second I really like the mcmillan stocks are they really worth it ? Im not interested in a chassis or wood stock if that helps any.
as always thanks in advance jeff
