Detailed clean and lube (thanks Tony), then went to the range.
It's running well, little trouble zeroing it in.
Didn't bring everything I needed to do it right. I was too excited.
Have to get serious now.

You got the rifle, now become a "Rifleman". Revolutionary Wars Veterans Association-RWVA or "Appleseed". It is officially against the law to shoot a M1A from a bench !!!
It is a combat rifle and should be shot standing, kneeling, sitting and prone. Appleseed will teach those skills for a pittance. Also, "Boston's Gun Bible" is a good book for M1A owners to acquire. Congratulations on your new rifle. Enjoy.
