My Fathers Day gift from son and family was a Kimber Custom II. I finally got it to the range and it'll do anything I can. I love my old Gold Cup but the Kimber is comparable. Now all I have to do is see if it ages as well.DI2
I probably should have been more specific about the Kimber's aging process: I wasn't referring to myself, but comparing it with the Gold Cup, which was new in '74. Otherwise, I'm happy that I can still use iron sights (unlike my buddies).
I like the rigid recoil spring guide and the tight frame to slide fit but disassembly takes more care and using the accompanying tool is a must. Also, the finish appears more durable than Colt blue.
