This months Guns & Ammo has a good article on Fed. Gold Medal Match.
In a nutshell.... there is a difference in how much "effort and QC" is put into its making.
A lot of people ask "What is the difference between Fed. AE 168gr OTM and FGMM ? "....
The article talks a lot about the extra effort that goes into annealing FGMM brass.
Also more concentric necks... better QC on the primers.... etc.
For those of you interested... I'd suggest you seek out a copy.
