What is the going price for a Springfield Armory SOCOM-16? My friend's wife is going to buy him one for his birthday, and she asked me to help her out with this info before she goes to buy it. Thanks!

There is a saying.........

There is a saying that goes: "all things come to he who waits", they forget to add PROVIDING HE KNOW WHAT HE IS WAITING FOR! You know what you are looking for, now for the waiting part - I picked mine up several months ago for less than $1,200 - just keep looking and one will show up. Or, if you can't wait.........

I have one for sale in the PX for 1400 shipped if you're interested. I've had it for two weeks and shot it four times.

It just isn't the right rifle for me. I'm sticking with my loaded standard.

Where?
Ibert & Smithers, Belmont, CA.
Old West Gun Room, El Cerrito, CA (not in stock, does have a 22"bbl $1500 M1a)

I'm considering a LRB arms (18.5") or SEI "bush" build (18") or a SA Scout Squad (18")...all with walnut stock

Too bad S A does not offer a SOCOM with a walnut stock...i may just spend the $250 to swap into a waltnut stock.
