Exc - As New - From Freds? Anyone ordered?

Looking at one of the exc/as new walnut stocks from Fred's, I'm just a bit leery since in the past I've ordered everything from "field grade" to "exc" and it always looked about the same...

I recently ordered a walnut stock from Freds and I believe it was an "excellant as new". The stock is near perfect and all the metal was like new. The stock had 40 years of dirt on it and required some cleaning and oil. I think if I would have spent more time on cleaning the stock it would be a gem. In its current condition I would say its a really nice stock. I think it was around $120 shipped and arrived in about a week. I am happy with mine.

Yep working a couple of P grade walnuts I got about 3 weeks ago. He didn't charge extra for the mold. They are coming along beautifully.

Yeah that and the dings. One of the "EXC" ones I bought awhile ago looked like it had been dragged behind a car for half an hour. Eh I'll probably just click the button and hope for the best.
No dings on either of these. I had my steamer ready, but it just collecting dust now.
I've only ordered a few stocks from Fred's, the ones I received were excellent quality.

I have ordered a few excellent as new stocks from Fred's and they have been exactly that. Very little to no signs of use(they had been mounted on a M14), the metal was flat new, the markings sharp and crisp. They were a little dirty from sitting around but cleaned up well.

I got 2 of the Exc. as new from Fred's last week. One was birch and the other walnut. The birch was real dirty and had a sticky goo black coating on it, but it cleaned up very nice. It is indeed as new, once I got the goo off.

The walnut was beautiful. Only needed a little cleaning, a light sanding and a couple coats of oil and it looks brand new.

I'm very happy with both of them. Still in the finishing process and deciding which one to keep.

The bottom stock is a real beauty!
How long does it take for you to get the stocks once you order them?
