I am thinking of finishing the black stock on my Scout Squad with Duracoat.

I really like the Springfield O.D. Green color some of their rifles come in and would like to match it as closely as possible; however, Duracoat seems to have at least a dozen variations of "OD Green".

Does anyone have any experience with or recommendations on a specific OD Green color of Duracoat?

French Army Green and Norweigan Army Light Green seem to be close matches.

(Pictures of the finished stock would be great to see) Thanks in advance!

I am going to be an owner of the Springfield Lightweight Champion. it's a nice, solid pistol, but i=I'm just not too sure about the OD green. Not really for me, but that is the only option, short of going through the custom shop.

I used Krylon OD spraypaint to do my USGI fiberglass stock. It looks fine to me, and if I have any scratches or chips, a couple of seconds with the can and it's good as ever.

You can see that it matches my Springfield MC Operator pretty well, but the OD Specter gear sling looks a little different.

It is difficult to get a perfect match using photos and samples posted online or from a website. I have used http://lauerweaponry.com/
for the duracoat.

I used their WWII olive drab because I liked the brown shading of green more than some of the other shades. In the picture you can see somewhat the difference in shading of the Maxpedition pouch:

How they look in natural light is the test for me.
