I have the set of bits with the handle from FA. They aren't marked with a size. The larger one ( I think a 15...) fits the plug and piston fine, but the smaller dosen't fit in the hole in the top of the piston. Is this correct, or should it "drill" all the way through?

The standard sizes don't fit on some of the aftermarket pistons and gas plugs. I have seen about three different sizes now for plugs and at least two for the tail end of the piston. If it's not gi it's anyones guess as to what size fits it.

The first time I cleaned one of mine the large drill bit would barely fit into the piston. I shot the rifle for awhile and the last time I cleaned it the bit fit fine. I have not had any problems getting the smaller long bit into the tail of the plug.

My notes say:

#P (.323") Piston body
#15 (.180" Piston tail
#26 (.147") Gas port.

I've had to use slightly smaller standard bits, so getting a set would be nice.

I'm hoping that all the crud I just cleaned out of my piston is what's making the rifle short stroke. I took out a lot of carbon. Neither of the other two pistons had much at all.

My typo, it's #15 (.180")
